AL-CU 50/50

The need to reach to lower rotor loss in induction motors has led the electric machine designers toward extremely challenging manufacturing area which is casting copper mix with 1400 [C] melting temperature on rotor assembly. Alternatively, Aluminum which is the industry preferred solution in squirrel cage rotors seems not to make an efficient one for heavy duty traction applications.

We offer AL-CU 50/50 solution as the best trade-off between weight, inertia, loss per volume, and thermal mass of copper and aluminum. Our unique AL-CU 50/50 squirrel cage induction rotor design is a reliable and cost effective solution allowing HPD casting at 700 [C] while removing the sleeve retainer rings from high speed rotors.
